my education is an American instrumental post-rock band from Austin TX. They create cinematic and psychedelic compositions blending intense droning guitars with melodic viola. The core of the band is two guitars, bass, drums, and viola, although they do play with violins, keyboards and vibes at times. They are currently on Golden Antenna Records, a label based in Hessen, Germany, who released the band’s latest LP A Drink for All My Friends in March 2013.

The band members of THE KHOST, one of Austin’s newest up-and-coming bands, don’t care about trends. They don’t need to, and have never been tempted. Instead, by utilizing the full banquet of what indie music offers as far as encouraging experimentation with genres and various styles – whether it’s combining classic rock guitars with fuzzy key notes or variations of acoustics and digital samples – THE KHOST offer music fans something new and original, and with that they have managed to carve out a name for themselves in the Austin and south-central Texas DIY scene, performing nearly weekly in Austin and throughout the region, including a number of SXSW showcases.
